Leona Fekete

Leona M Fekete, age 97, of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin died Friday, July 11, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Friendship, Wisconsin.   Father James P. McNamee will officiate.  Interment will be in Mt. Repose Cemetery in Friendship.

Visitation will be after 12:00 pm on Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church until time of Mass.

Leona was born January 12, 1917 in Preston Township, Adams County, Wisconsin to Earl and Iva (Bratley) Murray.  She married Paul Fekete on November 12, 1955 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. He preceded her in death.

Leona was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Sussex. She enjoyed cooking, needle work and fishing trips with Paul. Gardening and her flowers were a passion. She obtained her Relator License and worked selling homes in the area for many years.

Leona was preceded in death by: her husband, Paul Fekete, her children, Carol and John Bigler and  Albert Miller, her siblings: Lester Murray, Leslie Murray, Violet Leach, Iona Murray, George Murray, Vivian Spiech, and William Murray.

Survivors: Son: Vern Miller of Davenport, IA; grandchildren: Susie (Phil Rush) McKinney of Davenport, IA and Vern (Debbie) Miller Jr. of Mansfield, TX; four great grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren: two nephews they raised: Rick and Randy Fekete; two brothers: Donald Murray of Berlin, WI and Arliegh (Ann) Murray of Eden, WI; one sister: Opal Cardinal of Medford, WI;   other numerous nieces and nephews.
