  2. Dave Nosek says:

I knew Larry for over 20 years, and now, my friend, you’re gone. I think about his passing every day and still cannot believe he is gone.

Everyday I walk around my forty, I see work that Larry and I did. Whether it was clear the land after the 2005 fire that destroyed everything here, to the pond we dug and lined, which now adds so much beauty to our restored land, and the countless others things he helped me with here over the years.

I typically would talk to him every week or so about projects we could work on, both of us being nature loving workaholics.

I remember many of his kind of corny jokes, that at times, were not very funny, but we both laughed hard at them despite this.

I remember his stories of growing up, and things his parents told him.

I remember him talking about getting a gorilla suit and hiding in the bushes and jumping out at dusk at cars would go by. 🙂 We both decided that might not be a good idea with conceal carry. 🙂 Always liked a good joke or prank, always.

He just loved outdoors and nature like we do, and he’s with it now forever.

I miss you Larry. I’ll see you soon.

    Dave

  3. Jessica Gutierrez says:

Larry, I may have never told you how much I appreciate how you help instill many great qualities inside me. Or give you credit where it was due….but you did a good job!!
You help raise two children who weren’t your “own” and that takes a strong man to do.

    I love you Pops!!
    R.I.P. Larry!! ❤

  4. Audrey Restagno (Thurber) says:

So sad to hear about Larry. I haven’t been in contact for years, but remember him from back in the 50’s We lived next door and I remember he and my brother hung out a lot. Then through school since we went to the same school. It’s sad to think his life was so short. My Sympathy to the Burrows family.

  5. Gib and Ruth (Crawford) says:

Our deepest condolences go out to all of Larry’s family. Larry was a reliable hard-working man who was extremely thoughtful. We will miss having him grade and gravel our private road because he did it so well with very little direction from us.
    Blessings,
    Gib and Ruth

  6. Les Wilson says:

My deepest Sympathy. I had the pleasure of cutting with Larry last year after work and weekends. He taught me a lot about cutting . He always had a good joke to tell, and always treated me fairly. One of the best. May God Bless. LMW

Verily, verily,I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me,hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5: 24

  8. Judy Olson Hall says:

I first learned of Larry when my father, Claude Olson, had him thin a couple of small pine plantings in the town of Strongs Prairie, Adams County, WI (these were planted in 1958) . After my Dad’s passing in 2000 my sister and myself also had Larry do some thinning on those same plantings. Within the last few weeks prior to his death, we had contacted him and signed a contract for him to do more thinning on those plantings. My family thought highly of Larry’s work ethic and the wonderful job he did leaving our property in as good a condition, or even better condition, as when he started. RIP Larry.
