  2. Jalisa Jameson says:

First off, Darrel, my cousin, I know this is so hard for you, to lose your brother. Remember I am only a phone call away if you need to talk or come over. He was your brother & amp; both of you feel like my older brothers that I never had. It will sure take us a long time to feel “normal” again. Larry was my cousin & a best friend to me, who always made me laugh uncontrollably. I never heard of anyone who didn’t like Larry. He was such a wonderful man & a kind soul & I miss him more than words can ever say. I don’t think this hole in my heart will ever stop hurting. I know most people who lose a loved one wouldn’t write on here, but to me this is a tribute to him. I can remember when I was a young kid, Larry would sometimes babysit my brother & I. Even way back then, he made me laugh. I guess we just had a special bond. As I grew up, he would tease me about my ‘big feet’, as i was always clumsy & tripping over something. Or the time i was outside & seen what i thought was a bat & it was huge (turned out it wasn’t a bat), and he forever kidded me about that 6 foot bat. There are so many other things that i just can’t think of at the moment, but Larry was a kidder. He loved a good joke, but also could talk serious. He was a man of many talents & to those of us who were lucky enough to know him & be a part of his life, I feel we were the ones who were blessed. I wish I could have had him in my life a whole lot longer. These past days have been so hard, and sometimes I almost forget he’s not with us anymore. I always forget & tell myself something like, ‘oh, wait til I tell Larry this one’ & then I realize, he’s not here anymore. So, Larry, if you can still hear & see all of us, I want to tell you I love you & miss you, and I was and always will be proud to call you my cousin, my friend. We will all try to get on without you, but it will be a hard road. I will never have you far from my thoughts & probably not that far in the future, we will see each other again. You have left a huge hole in my heart & my life. I will miss you until I draw my last breath. A quote from a western that I heard once that made me cry, and I know you loved Westerns, Larry, I feel this is appropriate, sadly:
We’re all travelers in this world, from the sweet grass to the packing house, Birth till death, we travel between the eternities.
All my love to you, Larry……..forever in my mind and in my heart. ♥
