June Heitman

June L. Heitman, age 90, of Adams, Wisconsin died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Fair View Nursing Home in Mauston, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015 at the St. John’s Lutheran
Church in Quincy Township, Adams County, Wisconsin. Rev. Brian Crane will officiate. Interment will be at the Quincy Cemetery, Town of Quincy, Wisconsin. Grandsons: Jerry Heitman, Justin Heitman, Lloyd Heitman, Aaron Heitman, Nicolas Heitman, John Christofferson will serve as pallbearers; granddaughters: Kristina Bennett, Jill Heitman, Lauren Heitman, Sara Heitman will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Roseberry’s Funeral Home and on Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

June was born March 17, 1925 in Easton Township, Adams County, Wisconsin to Fred and Elizabeth (Roller) Witt. She graduated from Easton Grade School and Adams-Friendship High School in 1943. June worked for Montgomery Ward Catalog Department in Wisconsin Rapids for two years before marrying Edward Heitman on June 16, 1945 at St. John Lutheran Church in Quincy. After marriage, she was a homemaker and farmwife. June took great joy in taking care of her family.

June was a devoted Christian. She was baptized at White Creek Congregational Church on May 19, 1925 by Rev. Barker. She was confirmed as a member of St. John Lutheran Church on May 19, 1948 and helped with its’ Sunday School for many years. June was a charter member of the Mary Martha’s Ladies Aid.

June enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, baking, reading, and spending time with her family.

Memorials may be directed in June’s memory to the charity of your choice.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Fred C. and Elizabeth Witt; husband, Edward C. Heitman; Grandson, Alex Heitman; brother, Clayton Witt; infant brother, Frank Witt; and step-mother, Julia Witt.
