John E. Rupp

Rupp photo_web_edited-1John E. Rupp, age 70, of Grand Marsh, formerly of Neenah Wisconsin/The Iron Range, died Friday, June 20, 2014 at his home.

John was born March 12, 1944 in Hibbing, Minnesota to Edmund Joseph and Bernice Janice (Kruze) Rupp.

A private memorial gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date.

He is survived by his two daughters, Cary (Christopher) Watkins & Amy (Timothy) Stock; four grandchildren, Coleman, Callie, Morgan and Mason; two step-daughters, Tina Hauser & Shelly Babiracki and his loving companion, Carol Patton.

    we heard the sirens that morning my son looked out and said 2 cops and an ambulance raced by the house. we later heard it was our down the street neighbor john rupp . they said he had a heart attack .that he was feeling bad the day before but didnt go to the hospital. i didnt know him other than seeing him pass by my house many times. sorry to hear of his passing.

    So sorry to hear about your loss. I remember when you lived in Chisholm. Not sure if you recognize my birth name of Goroni. My mother was Adell Goroni, your Grandmother’s cousin. I remember Uncle Bill from New Mexico visiting with your parents every time he came to town. Again, my condolences.

    We are in total shock as we read the paper today to see that our good friend has passed away. We always looked out for each other. John would call me when he was going away to visit his Family and we would get his mail for him. John was a great man and will be missed. Our Condolences go out to his Family
