We were just closing our new business for the second season when Glen and Vel came to the door and said they were answering our ad and would be happy to be our new Work Kampers. Kaye thought we should interview a few more folks that had responded. By that evening she said I think I want Glen and Vel. They just feel right. The next two years they were a God send to us as we worked together to improve our Camp ground. Glen got me to do more work than I meant to. Our’s became the finest camp ground around thanks to them. And I miss Glen’s Biscuits and SAUSAGE gravy too. Condolences Vel, Our prayers are coming your way. So-long big guy, we know you’ll be lending a helping hand up there.

Vel, We are sorry to hear of Glen’s passing He was a good friend that I went to high school with and worked with him many years on the C&NW railroad. I was a telegraph operator and he was a car inspector at Adams down at the old yard office in those days.
Vel and Family, Our deepest sympathy in the loss of Glen. Keeping you all in our prayers. Dean & Donna Kirsenlohr
Velva Lee,
I was so sorry to hear about Glen. You and your family have my deepest sympathy.
Val & family, and the Podoll family,
Our sincere sympathy in the loss of Glen. My memories include a man that loved to laugh and enjoy humor, making him the envy of youngsters around a table of lots of people at the Podoll’s, which was common. We didn’t see him as often as we moved on in life, but I can’t help but think that he spent a life enjoying his family and bringing joy and humor to those around him. May he rest in peace!
Aunt Vel, Cheri, Vicki, Gene & Mark,
Uncle Glen was a very special person. He always took the time to say “Good Morning” to you no matter what he was in the middle of or what time of the day it was. 😉 I remember giving him drawings of different things and the next time I would see him he had re-created them out of wood. I have so many memories with him; sitting around the campfire telling us kids jokes, his biscuits & gravy, and the new invention he would bring out to test! He will be dearly missed by many. My deepest sympathy, Jennilee
