Frank A. Mead

web_MeadFrank A. Mead, age 80, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Wednesday, October 01, 2014 at Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship.
Funeral services will be at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arkdale, Wisconsin on Sunday, October 5, 2014, at 3:30 p.m. Pastor Terri Skildum will officiate. Interment will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin. Visitation will be on Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arkdale, Wisconsin after 12:30 pm until time of services.
Frank was born July 15, 1934 in New Albin, Iowa to Arlington M. and (Myrl Kester) Mead. He married Sharon Keebler on October 27, 1956 in Racine.
Frank served in the U. S. Navy, he managed the Petenwell County Park for 20 years, and also worked as a meat cutter for over 25 years. He enjoyed gardening, pulling pranks on family and friends, loved his church and enjoyed all the people he met through working as a manager at the Park, going out to eat and trips to Branson with his wife.

Frank was a member of Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife: Sharon Mead of Friendship, Wisconsin; his children: David (Brenda) Mead of Adams, Wisconsin, Dawn (John) Van Meter of Necedah, Wisconsin, Cheryl (Rich) Ristow of Stoddard, Wisconsin and Dan (Dawn) Mead of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; his grandchildren: Jeremy Van Meter, Kristin (Tim) Cross, Jaime ( Nic Rivera) Mead, Savanna Mead, Mitch Collins, Riley Collins, Brandon Murphy, Amy (Bill) Browne, and Jen Twite; four great grandchildren: Zoie, Joe, Quintin, and Aubree; other relatives and many friends.

Frank was preceded in death by: parents and one sister, Patricia Furness.

    We are sadden by the lose of such a great man. We knew Frank from the park for many years and enjoyed his jokes and the pranks he played on our son Adam. Frank will always be in our hearts and prays forever. We can still hear him on the load speaker from his truck warning us against the weather condiations moving in.
