Eunice Helene Smart, 93, of Mauston passed away Oct. 6, 2014, at Fairview Nursing Home in Mauston.
Eunice (Tiny to her friends) was born Nov. 2, 1920, in Chicago, to Joseph and Anna Collens.
Eunice married Thomas H. Smart Sept. 3, 1948, in San Diego, California, and celebrated 64 years of marriage together before his death in April 2013.
Eunice loved her family and friends. Her family consists of Penny (Richard) Vaughan of Portsmouth, Virginia; grandson, Brandon (Peggy) Vaughan of Chesapeake, Virginia; great-grandsons, Jacob and Rylan Vaughan of Chesapeake, Virginia; son, Ricky (Deborah) Smart of Iowa City, Iowa; grandson, Scott (Yvonne) Smart of Iowa City, Iowa; great-granddaughter, Elysia Smart of Iowa City, Iowa; and grandson, Jay Smart of Iowa City, Iowa.
Eunice does not want any rites except to be remembered in your hearts and minds. She will be buried at St. Patrick’s Cemetery at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13. She will be greatly missed.
