Dorothy H. Wheeler, age 83, of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin died Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at her home in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

Dorothy was born August 31, 1931 in Tacoma, Washington to Rosco Smith and Irene Baker. Dorothy worked for the State of Wisconsin as a CNA at the Southern Wisconsin Center in Union Grove, Wisconsin.

Dorothy enjoyed sewing, knitting, watching her birds and her two squirrels, spending time and get-togethers with her family and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Paulette Boucher; son, David Wheeler; step-son, Dewey Wheeler; grandson, Bretton Wheeler; and brother, Burelton Ney.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Peggy (Troy) Martin of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin, Lois (Richard) Bretl of Union Grove, Wisconsin, James Wheeler of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, Glen (Linda) Wheeler of Rosemount, Minnesota; her 31 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; her siblings, William Ney of Arizona, Bobby Joe Baker of Tacoma, Washington, Buddy Baker of Tacoma, Washington, Donna Tessman of Michigan, Judy Smith of Tacoma, Washington; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation for Dorothy’s family and friends will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home, on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 1 pm – 3:30 pm.  A memorial service will begin at 3:30 pm.
