Charles K. Ellsworth

Charles Kenneth Ellsworth, age 87, of Friendship, Wisconsin passed on January 23, 2013 at the Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.

Ken was born April 18, 1925 in Newton, Iowa to Orville and Martha Ann Ellsworth.

He enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of seventeen and served during WWII returning to serve again in Korea as a Machinist Mate Destroyer Escort.

Ken worked for Sunstrand Corporation, J.I. Case Tractors, Structo Toys and several other companies as production manager and quality control engineer.

Ken was very active with the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Scottish Rite, York Rite and was a 32nd degree Mason. The highlight of his Masonic career was being a member of the International Champion Motorcycle Group, Tebala Lodge in Rockford, Illinois in 1973, a commitment of over 56 years.

He always liked the Dell’s area and following his retirement, owned and operated the Camelot Motel with his wife Robin for 18 years.

His hobbies included, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, boating, traveling and motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Ellsworth; parents, Orville & Ann Ellsworth; brothers: Francis and Earl.

Son: Ed (Debbie) Ellsworth of Kansas City, Missouri
Wife: Robin Ellsworth of Friendship, Wisconsin
Six grandchildren and one great-grandson
Brother: Virgil Ellsworth of California
Step-Son: Michael (Marla) Anderson of Friendship, Wisconsin
Step-Son: Donn (Jamie) Anderson of Sterling, Illinois

Lakeside memorial services are planned for this spring. Family and friends are welcome. Dates will be announced.

    Robin I deeply sorry for your loss Kenny was a very dear friend of mine I will miss him and the good times we shared.I will always remember the time Kenny and I went out fishing and caught more then our share and then hearing his laugh when I went over board and fell into the lake.Lots of great memmories I will cherrish them for ever just as I’m sure you have plenty of memories and stories to tell.We all will hold them dear to our hearts.May God be with you in this time of need.

    ROBIN , I AM VERY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. YES, I LOST A VERY GOOD FRIEND ALSO.
    I KEEP THINKING OF ALL THE GOOD TIMES & FUN ONE’S WE HAD. HE TREATED ME BETTER THEN FRIENDS CAN. SURE WE HAD OUR UPS & DOWN’S, BUT WE ALL DO. HE WAS A PERSON THAT U COULD CALL UP ON,
    AT LEAST I COULD.

    THE LAST TIME KENNY AND I TALKED WE DISCUSSED IF I COULD BUY ONE OF HIS ELK RACKS. HE KNEW AT THAT TIME I DID NOT HAVE A JOB. HE SAID FOR ME TO COME UP, SO HE CAN THINK ABOUT, OVER A LORD CALVERT.
