Billy Roberts

Billy W. Roberts, age 94, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Monday, March 30, 2015 at his home in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Billy was born February 15, 1921 in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Warren Roberts and Bernice. He married Bette Torgerson on February 16, 1946 in Ashland, Wisconsin. Billy worked in Milwaukee, WI for Schlitz Brewing Co. He also had started a trucking business, Roberts Trucking, and drove taxi part time.

Billy’s biggest passion was golf. He enjoyed playing and practicing golf. He could be seen outside practicing at home and at the course. He played his last golf at Mound View in September, 2014 at the age of 93. He also enjoyed spectator sports and followed the Packers, Badgers, Bucks, and Brewers.
Billy was a member of Mound View Golf Course and was a past league champion. And a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arkdale, WI.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Bernice Roberts and his brother Keith and his sister Alberta.
